Sunsprite is dedicated to breeding healthy, beautiful and loving Goldens and Cavaliers who will enrich the lives of their families. All breedings are thoughtfully done, following the protocol for each breed.

We live with all our current Goldens and Cavaliers on beautiful Vancouver Island in French Creek, located between Parksville and Qualicum Beach.


During the 1980’s and 90’s, our family had two wonderful Golden Retriever companions, Emma and Molly. I became increasingly interested in dog activities and the complex procedure of breeding quality Golden Retrievers for loving families.

I breed for health, temperament, conformation, and of course, a Golden Retriever capable of doing what they were bred to do!


A year of researching small breed dogs, led me to the Cavalier.

Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are very similar in temperament to Goldens, all in a beautiful little package!

Ch Camcav Phoebe was our first Cavalier and Ch Dawnaquinn Kate Kaslan RN was my foundation girl.
